Hey, it works! Did the finished soap smell like a camp fire? I’m thinking about making some soap using wood ash and giving it to my family during the holidays. I’m thinking cedar and cinnamon scents to add to it depending on what your finished product smelled like. Great video!

Hi, I've tried 3 times now, with 127g of distilled water and 73g of lye, I can't quite get all the lye crystals ot fully dissolve, any idea what I might be doing wrong? How long stirring should it take to dissolve all of the lye. I mixed in a glass jug would that cause the problem?

But I think the most valuable part in aloe is its juice isn’t it? Drying it out, hmm….

A vegetable peeler works well to remove the brown layer over the coconut meat aka flesh. Blending the meat with a high speed blender and straining it through muslin or cheesecloth would yield more milk.
